1st MH Detail 2nd Reg 9th District Command of the 1USV stood strong and proud as they helped to pay tribute to all Veterans at a Veterans Day ceremony in Ventura, CA.  The event took place at the Veterans Day Dedication at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura, CA.

helps dedicate Veterans Center

In 2011, Oxnard College in California held the grand opening of their Veterans Center.  1st MH Detail 2nd Reg 9th District Command of the 1USV provided TAPS and CWO4 Wade sounded the Bosun’s Pipe, “All Hands!”  The 1USV Detail also rang out ”8 Bells” in memory of all POW/MIAs.

The Veterans Center will be a place for the 10,000 veterans in Ventura County to use as a resource.  The new center has a meeting room, a general work area with computers that can be used for tutoring and several small offices that can be used for academic and psychological counseling.
